Visual Artist
Cristiana Messina ( 1991) is a visual artist living and working in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Originally from Italy, Cristiana has followed the artistic path since a very young age. She studied in Bergamo ( IT) in art college and in Milan ( IT) at IED , Institute of European (2d animation and Illustration); after finishing her studies in 2013 she divided between 2D animation, illustration for children, graphics and realisation of creative workshops for children.
She published her first Children picture book ” Meli Yang Ceria” in Sigapore in 2016 for Pustaka National Pte Ltd and soon after she decided to move to Edinburgh (UK) where the city gave her the opportunity to grow and evolve in fine arts.
She followed the year long Painting course at Leith School of Art, (Edinburgh) to progress her oil paint and fine arts technique .
Her illustrations have been selected for the AFCC Asian Festival os Children Content 2017, and recently her paintings were shortlisted for an international contest , Prisma Art Prize, Rome and for a big exhibition Art&Cavallo at Verona FieraCavalli.
